The team has come of age today, beating Southern Cape 9/3.

All of the team members worked really hard to secure the victory with sufficient games points to avoid relegation.

We are extremely proud of their performance today and the entire week. The guts and determination is going to make this team and the individuals within the team very hard to beat in the future.

All in all it was a fantastic week for everyone and the experience gained by our juniors in the side will most definitely be invaluable.

Well done to each and every one of the team for their exemplary behaviour, neatness, punctuality, commitment and fantastic sense of humour.

It was an absolute pleasure to manage this side and thank you for all for your dedication and respect.

A turn of Luck and fortune today. The guys had no pressure on them with three losses in a row, we mixed up the playing order to try different things and WOW, we beat Western Province 6 ½ to 5 ½.

Casey Jarvis played at No 2 in the singles and won his game 3/1, what a performance, Vaughn had a great fight back to win 3/2. Kyle made short work of his game and won 6/5. Jordan was tasked to get a half and he did that for the team. The last game out on the course was the decider between, a loss, a half or a win, Angus held his nerve with an awesome long putt from the back of the green leaving a short put that proved crucial for the win.

The team is extremely proud of bouncing back with a victory and are rearing to go for tomorrow’s game against Southern Cape. It would be a wonderful result if we can pull this one off, as we were second to them at last year’s IPT.

Today we played Gauteng North and managed a 2 – 2 draw with our foursomes, however the afternoon singles proved more difficult with 2 halves and one win. At the end of the day we lost to Gauteng North 8 – 4. We wish Gauteng north all the best for the rest of the IPT.

We did however have a highlight today, Casey holed out on the 14th for his 8th career hole in one. Well done Casey.

Tomorrow we play Western Province.
