Our first day of IPT, playing against Central Gauteng was a tough day. We only managed two halves in the morning foursomes and 3 ½ games won in the afternoon singles.
Most of the games completed, were decided on the 18th hole. Our young team excelled themselves to take on the “big guys” and hold them off to the bitter end. The results of 7 ½ to 4 ½ certainly does not reflect the gutsy performance of the team.
We congratulate Central Gauteng for their victory and wish them well for the rest of the tournament.
Tomorrow we take on KZN and look forward to test the experience gained from today’s match to see if we can improve our position.
