MARCH 2018 TM MW 760x100

A playoff between Kempton Park and Lake Club Benoni was held at Royal Oak on Sunday 28 January 2018. Both teams had scored the same points throughout the 2017 league season. The playoff was also a tie - these two Clubs were both putting on their best performances! There can only be one winner, and the game went to sudden death - with Kempton Park Ladies winning the 2017 Sunday League Section 1. Congratulations Ladies!

Well done to Lake Club Benoni - you tried your best, maybe next year??

The 2018 League season starts on Sunday 11 February - good luck Ladies!

Sarah Bouch

There are several young Ladies who have done very well this year, and we acknowledge their achievements.

At the President's Dinner held on Friday 24 November 2017 at Benoni Country Club, Ekurhuleni Women's Golf, Player of the Year, was awarded to Sarah Bouch,

Sarah was commended for her passion and commitment to the sport of golf. She has travelled across the country, playing in many Championships, finishing in the top 10 in most of them.
Sarah is currently ranked number 8 on the WGSA ranking, and has won the University Sports of South Africa Championship.

As Captain of the InterProvincial team, she does a fantastic job of keeping the team motivated, and is always willing to assist the Team Manager and Lady President.

We admire Sarah's ability to keep a balance between her studies and her golf, and wish her all the best in the future.

IPT 2017 held at Mossel Bay Golf Club.  The competition was tough, and the weather even tougher!  Day 1 saw winds in excess of 25km per hour!

It was very cold and windy all week, but our girls persevered!

We qualified in the top section of A Division with a Strokeplay competition, the rest of the week was Matchplay.  After lots of excellent golf, we finished in a very good 3rd place – well done Girls.

Thanks to Captain Sarah Bouch, and especially to Team Manager Lezette Vermaak who looked after the girls for the week – thank you very much!
