The first day of the SA Inter-provincial tournament presented a fine, sunny and calm day. The side took full advantages of the conditions and managed 3 games to 1 victory in the morning foursomes against Western Province.

The wind picked up as did the mood of the Western Province side and a very hard fought battle saw our team losing to Western Province 4 ½ games to 3½. This resulted in an overall victory of 6 ½ to 5 ½. All credit to the Western Province team that proved that they are a force to be reckoned with. A game played in Great Spirit and sportsmanship that could have ended as either side victorious.

Tomorrow we face Gauteng North and old rival that have proved to be a very strong team in the past, we look forward to the match and the challenge.
